The Salopian Tap is back this weekend. And it’s a big one. Kashpur is pouring, the Salopian Brewery collaboration with Thornbridge Brewery of Derbyshire. A formidable mash up of Kashmir and Jaipur, this is an unmissable beer. Bold hoppy flavours and a smooth, bitter finish. It’s deep, it’s delicious, it’s 5.7% so go steady.

If that doesn’t whet your whistle, they also have a brilliant dark mild pouring. Divine Comedy is an absolutely blissful cask ale. Rich and smooth, you’ll wonder why you aren’t drinking mild all the time. Why aren’t you drinking mild all the time? Dewdrops has also made a return to the bar if you’re in the mood for some juicy haze.
There will also be pizza available on site today, the usual bar snacks and of course you can stock up on cans and bottles to take home. I grabbed a can of Kashpur, because frankly it would be rude not to. It’s bound to be busy this afternoon, despite the weather. The taproom is family and dog friendly. A lovely place to wile away the hours. They open each month on the first weekend if you can’t make it today.
